Contact

Here's another contact sheet from my time spent in Northern Maine. This was from one of my first trips to West Branch Pond Camps. It rained almost all weekend but I was able to come away with some nice images and a good pair of boots.

new scans

I had the chance to revisit my negative from Maine over the past two days. In them I found some more images that I had overlooked before. Some of these images I am scanning purely for stock reasons, but some also hold some weight with the others that have already been posted on here through the months.

The simplicity and calmness of this image are what I like. It also speaks alot about how the camp felt on a day to day basis. This image was taken right before dinner, as you can vaguely see Eric, the owner, on his way back from the pantry playing with his old dog Kita in the background.

Fall

I'm bringing back an oldie but a goodie to signal the first day of fall. Fall going into winter always seems like a time of reflection, on past events and what may come in the future. Enjoy this time of change everyone, but don't forget your mittens!

it's a saturday

Well it's a beautiful fall day here, so here is another image from my September spent in Maine. This was my back yard for a month, with White Cap mountain in the distance.

Enjoy your weekend!

Here's a few more images from my time spent in Maine a few years back. It was 3 years ago this month that I was there and, as the weather gets cooler here, it reminds me of the 30 degree mornings, wood stove fires for warmth every morning, and the rapidly changing leaves. Fall is certainly approaching us, so here is a bit of fall color for my first post in awhile. As with every change in season, I'm sad to see summer go, but I always welcome fall...

I will be posting a few more of my "Inspiration" posts very soon, so stay tuned for that.

Monday, Monday

This was a beautiful morning in Maine, about 6:00 am or so, just before I was to go inside and set up for breakfast. It was one of the slowest sunrises I ever saw, and beautiful the whole time. I'm posting it now because, it was a beautiful Monday today, and a great start to the week. Just as this was a great way to begin this morning.

I'll also be getting into the darkroom and developing some new images as well as printing. Keep an eye peeled for new work of the black and white variety, and maybe some color too...

Today

This was the view from my humble cabin while staying at West Branch Pond Camps, in Greenville, ME. It was a rainy day when I took this picture, and it feels comfortable. The Cabin was, even with its meager interior. A bed, a sink, and a wood stove is sometimes all you need.

Opening day!

Nancy, from "every photo tells a story" contacted me a few days ago and asked if she could use this image on her own blog. The concept is, she gathers images and lets folks write their own words or interpretations of the image in the comments section. Good idea. So head on over and contribute to this image's story, and check out some of the other work she's got up there.

Thanks Nancy!
