Exposure Project News!

Good news from The Exposure Project...we have updated our website! It now includes all artists that have appeared in our books and shows, as well as the artists that will be featured in our 4th and upcoming book!

Please take a second to stop on over and as always feel free to leave us some feed back, either here or on The Exposure Project Blog. Stay tuned for more info on book four, things are beginning to come together and we are all very excited about it.

Lastly, we got us some new logos! Designed by our friend Maura Murnane. The new logos will be used throughout our project now and will give us a more recognizable and reoccurring look. Thanks to Maura for her contribution to the group!

As Promised...

As promised, here are a few more Polaroids from the archives. More to come once I get back in a week, but hopefully you enjoy these in the meantime...

More New Work!

More new work from the same series as last posted...I don't have much to say about these pictures yet as they are all very new to me and I haven't taken the time to think about them. But what I do feel like is there is some feeling and looseness to these images. Im looking for and enjoying the looseness right now, and I find that it is coming through. Again please leave feedback or any thoughts!

They are calm and quiet. More to come soon as the work continues...please leave feed back as this is brand new work and its always nice to hear people's thoughts.

cheers!

NEW WORK

Well all the scanning I have been doing is paying off. I am really excited about what I found in looking back through my old books of negatives. But also, whats more exciting is the new work that I am scanning in! I have been trying to shoot a role of film every morning, mainly around my house. More or less as an exercise to get me shooting again, but so far I am happy with the results. I will be posting some of that very soon once I get all the scans done and cleaned up. Thanks for looking and please leave feedback!

It's been such a looong time...

Well I have been traveling all weekend, so I was unable to post. But here is an offering from the weekend to give you an idea of where I was. Music, and performances especially have always been a source of inspiration for me. This weekend was no different and I am ready to make some new work...so stay tuned for a new black and white project that I have already started, but all I have right now are undeveloped rolls of film!!!

A Quiet Afternoon

From the archives! I scanned some Polaroids today that I have shot over the course of about 6 years. Most are nonsense, some are proofs that later went to film, and some, that I thought at first to maybe be nonsense, actually end up being fine photographs. The sense of quiet and calm is what I love about this, as well as the fact that it really is nothing special, except that it is a photograph, which turns it into something more.

I will be posting more Polaroids as I find them and scan them.

Textures

The first from my "Textures" body of work. This is older work, but I still like it all very much. I hope to make more of these soon. They are an obvious nod to one of my heroes, Aaron Siskind.
