Another Mainer

Yet another image from the northland, greenville, me. I have enjoyed revisiting these images and getting my own sense of the place from my own images. A weird thing. I know what the place feels like, I experienced it. But looking back at images stirs different feelings about the place. All good...

Good morning and happy Monday. It's a cool overcast day here, so I thought i'd add some color and sunshine to my own and your day. Another image from Greenville, ME. I made this while waiting to serve dinner one evening in the kitchen of camp.

Friday Night Lights

Friday night lights, early morning sunrise. I thought I'd post another sunrise image from the same morning as the previous post, cause, well, it's real pretty. Enjoy through the weekend and hopefully soon I will have some new images to post.

Monday, Monday

This was a beautiful morning in Maine, about 6:00 am or so, just before I was to go inside and set up for breakfast. It was one of the slowest sunrises I ever saw, and beautiful the whole time. I'm posting it now because, it was a beautiful Monday today, and a great start to the week. Just as this was a great way to begin this morning.

I'll also be getting into the darkroom and developing some new images as well as printing. Keep an eye peeled for new work of the black and white variety, and maybe some color too...

It's been raining like crazy lately, and this image reminds me a bit of that feeling...being by water and watching the rain bounce back up toward the sky. Just remember, the rain will end!

Bluebird Interview

Carey MacArthur from bluebird photography blog, has recently started an interview series on her blog....And guess what, i'm the guinea pig! She is going to be interviewing multiple photographers, about such topics as the current state of photography, how the hard economic times have effected, if at all, working photographers, and the marriage of commercial and fine art photography. Today

This was the view from my humble cabin while staying at West Branch Pond Camps, in Greenville, ME. It was a rainy day when I took this picture, and it feels comfortable. The Cabin was, even with its meager interior. A bed, a sink, and a wood stove is sometimes all you need.

Saturday Afternoon

Well this morning there was a lot of ticket buying, or trying, going on for summer fun. This is an image I made at a small festival in Pennsylvania last summer. Be sure to get out to some live music this summer, that is if you can actually have the opportunity to purchase tickets!
